About Me

Tasha Mansley

Background and Experience

I’ve been designing and facilitating participatory workshops since 2016, focussing on developing person-centred, holistic and creative approaches, to explore topics rarely covered in mainstream education in a variety of settings including youth groups, summer camps, festivals, schools and colleges. I’ve worked with over 5000 young people (aged 11-25), facilitated over 500 workshops, and over 300 university seminars and training sessions.

This work has included: coordinating the award-winning ‘near-peer’ mentoring programme ‘Role Models Project’ at Sussex University; consulting on lesson plans, facilitating workshops and leading teacher training for inclusive RSHE provider Split Banana; designing and piloting a successful Emotional Wellbeing Programme for Concordia Charity; and leading focus groups to inform NHS Sussex CAMHS’s youth-led strategy. More recently I’ve been branching out to work more creatively with ‘grown ups’, running workshops at The Brighton Digital Festival, Buddhafield and The Visionaries ‘Regenerated’ retreat for educators.

Education and Training

I received a Distinction in my MA Education from UCL’s renowned Institute of Education, where I specialised in queer, feminist, critical pedagogy for social justice. I’ve been trained by leading providers such as the Sex Education Forum, The Proud Trust, CitizensUK, LifeBeat, LEAP Confronting Conflict, Partners in Youth Empowerment, Young Minds, Mental Health First Aid UK, School of Theatre of the Oppressed and MindOut.
